Members and Friends -

We received this information from the NH Lodging and Restaurant Association. We are forwarding it to you for your information and to pass along to others who may be affected by the change in the law and the addition of a 5% tax on the interest and dividends earned. If you plan to attend any of the hearings, please let us know and we will try to form carpools.

Additional LLC Tax Rulemaking Hearings!

Due to the large turn out at the first rulemaking hearing Commissioner Clougherty has added on the following hearings to allow for others around the state to have an opportunity to be heard. If you would rather not speak at least show them through your attendance that this is bad tax policy.

If you are interested in speaking at any of these events, send an e-mail including the date of the meeting you plan to attend, as well as your name, address, and phone number and send to FormsCmte@rev.state.nh.us. The order of speaking will be determined by the order of advanced registration and then based upon those that register at the public hearing.

Home for the Holidays for our Veterans

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

We have received important information today that we want to share will you.  One is about our neighbors who are in the NH National Guard unit out of Milford.  This unit is assigned to Charlie Company, an infantry company that is made up of units in New England.   The unit will be deploying to Afghanistan at some point in late January or early February of next year after completing their final preparations at Camp Atterbury, IN.  In Afghanistan they will be responsible for training and mentoring Afghan Security Forces as well as conducting security missions with active duty units.  They will likely be located in the southeastern portion of Afghanistan.  Efforts are underway to make sure they get home for the holidays to see their families before being deployed. The information below is from the NH National Guard Association and tells how you can help.
