We have received important information today that we want to share will you. One is about our neighbors who are in the NH National Guard unit out of Milford. This unit is assigned to Charlie Company, an infantry company that is made up of units in New England. The unit will be deploying to Afghanistan at some point in late January or early February of next year after completing their final preparations at Camp Atterbury, IN. In Afghanistan they will be responsible for training and mentoring Afghan Security Forces as well as conducting security missions with active duty units. They will likely be located in the southeastern portion of Afghanistan. Efforts are underway to make sure they get home for the holidays to see their families before being deployed.
