The Chef’s Plate is coming to our area to produce a couple of shows that highlight our special restaurants and selected businesses as sponsors of the show.
The Chamber will open the show with a three minute “commercial” for the Souhegan Valley. Partnering with Red Brick Publishing, we will be able to spotlight our area and offer a chance to you for television exposure on WBIN. The program is broadcast on Saturday at 3:00 pm throughout eastern MA and southern NH.
A professional team will create your ad and you will have a copy for your use in promoting your business in the future. Please give Scott Franz a call with your interest and questions you have about the show. We are planning to do more than one episode, each featuring one or two communities.

The Milford Area Players, coming from the highly successful run of “And Then There Were None” is now shifting their attention to the next main stage event. The play selections for 2012 are filled with top notch shows. Visit www.milfordareaplayers.org for the list of plays and for information on how you can get season tickets.
We will begin the year with an Evening of One Act Plays. This will be a night of 3 one act shows, directed by 3 different directors. Come be a part of this new venture by MAP by auditioning for 1, 2 or all 3 one act plays! All ages are welcome, from children ages 6 – 12 to adults ages 19 on up.
The First Annual Chili and Chowder Fest will be held Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the Amherst Business Center 1:00 – 6:00 pm. Amateur and professional chefs will compete to present the best chili and chowder recipes. This annual event will take place on the Sunday between the NFL playoffs and the Super Bowl.
Last month we asked for your input with a survey of how the Chamber is doing and what kinds of opportunities we offer. We have considered what you have told us and the interest expressed in a series of workshops and seminars dealing with the important issues of running a business. An Education Task Force has been charged to develop a program that is tailored to the needs of our members and the business community of the Souhegan Valley.
