Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce plans are well underway for our 5th Annual Veteran’s Benefit Auction on April 14, 2012. This will be our second year partnering with Harbor Homes of Nashua to benefit their Veteran’s FIRST Program.

The Silent and Live Auction raises funds to expand emergency housing for service members and their families in need. Housing is available for a two year period to give them the opportunity to take advantage of job training, workplace readiness and counseling. This support enables veterans to become self supporting and provide for themselves and their families.

We truly appreciate the contribution made by so many last year. With the recent cuts in the state budget, we need your help more than ever and ask that you consider donating in 2012 for this worthy cause. Over the last 4 years we have raised over $60,000 in essential funding thanks to the generosity of our local businesses, artists, craftsmen and professional services. Sponsorship and Donation forms are printed in the newsletter.

Harbor Homes, Inc. of Nashua offers a variety of residential housing programs with varying degrees of independence to meet the individual needs of the residents. Non-Veterans FIRST residential programs are also provided, designed to empower individuals toward recovery and integration in our community. Veterans FIRST (Federal Investment Recognizing our Servicemen and women in Transition) began in 2004 and offers a second chance for those brave individuals who have kept our nation safe and secure.

The Auction will take place at Alpine Grove in Hollis beginning at 6:00 PM with wonderful hors d’oeuvres during the Silent Auction. A full family style dinner will be prepared by their expert chefs prior to the Live Auction. Tickets should be reserved in advance.
